They gotta have a “D” show so that guys like Zach Ryder and Dolph Ziggler and Goldust and Ezekiel Jackson get some ring time and earn their paychecks.
Of course, the biggest fallacy of this is assuming anyone but the most extreme WWE viewers would want to want crap like televised dark matches. At least of Sunday Night Heat consisted of RAW recaps.
I’ve never seen Superstars because WGN America (outside of Verizon Fios) only exists in the greater Chicago & New York area.

14i remember how jeff hardy was almost becoming the face of the wwe till he left because of problems brewing and eventually going to tna not as a everyday superstar, but just so he can make money and make some appearances wihthout being tired out like the tight schedule in wwe. gosh, rumor is 6 more yrs till he returns to wwe….

it’s good for the wwe, they film it after or before a smackdown/raw episode, so they don’t have to arrange anything special for it.
It’s also good for young stars that we don’t get to see a lot on mondays/fridays. And btw you have no point: christian, cm punk, mysterio, batista etc .. are sometimes on superstars. You just only like the main-eventers and you don’t have an eye for young talent in the WWE. It’s a good place to show their unused talent.
